Bosses set to tackle the refs in charity showdown
Wolverhampton Casuals are hosting a managers versus referees match in the name of charity on Thursday night.
Casuals chief Dean Gill and local referee Ajay Sharma have organised the 7.45pm clash at Brinsford Lane, which will raise funds for both The Whistle Foundation and the Good Shepherd Ministry.
Gill will be in charge of the managers including Sporting Khalsa boss Ian Rowe, Black Country Rangers’ Wayne Spicer, Wednesfield’s Danny Carter, Bilston Town’s Scott Hamilton and Alvechurch’s Ian Long – formerly of Tividale.
Dave King – currently in the Tivi hot seat – is not playing but supplying the shirts which the teams will wear.
The Whistle Foundation is a registered charity of referees who support causes in need.
The Good Shepherd Ministry – based in Wolverhampton – assist the homeless. Admission is £1.
