Here, we look at what Besiktas will bring to Molineux.

Form against English clubs

Besiktas have played 21 matches against English clubs but have won just six times.

Their last win in England came with a 1-0 victory at Manchester United 10 years ago.

Besiktas' heaviest European defeat came when they lost 8-0 at Liverpool in the Champions League 2007 with Yossi Benayoun scoring a hat-trick.

European form

This is Besiktas' sixth time in the Europa League group stage and they have failed to reach the knock-out rounds in their last three attempts.

Their best season in the competition came in the 2016-17 campaign when they lost to Lyon on penalties in the quarter-finals having dropped down from the Champions League.

This season they have lost both of their away games in Group K to Slovan Bratislava and Braga to sit bottom.

Domestic form

Besiktas have won six Super Lig games in a row after a 3-2 victory at Kasimpasa on Sunday.

It lifted them into second place, three points behind leaders Sivasspor.

They are unbeaten at home but have lost three on the road, including a 3-0 defeat at Sivasspor on the opening day.

Manager

Abdullah Avci joined Besiktas on a three-year contract in May, replacing Senol Gunes after he left to take charge of Turkey.

Avci had previously managed the national side between 2011 and 2013 but he won just six of his 18 games and was succeeded by Fatih Terim.

Avci has also had two five-year spells at Istanbul Basaksehir.

One to watch

Loris Karius is trying to rebuild his career in Turkey having been on loan from Liverpool since the start of last season.
