Nuno’s side are looking to grab their first Premier League win of the season against the Blues.

A host of club greats are due to be part of the anniversary celebrations, and Nuno is proud to be a significant part of the club’s storied history.

“It’s an honour. You can see how many fantastic nights Molineux has had, and to be a part of this history of this club – the moments – is a big, big honour,” said Nuno.

“I think all the staff should be proud of being there.

It will be a fantastic day, but we still have to play the game, and this is what’s most important.”

Nuno’s reign – just over two years at this point – has seen Wolves win the Championship title, finish seventh in the Premier League, get to the FA Cup semi-finals and qualify for the Europa League group stage.

The Portuguese is adored by the supporters, and he revealed that upon joining the club, he made sure to visit the Molineux museum to get a real feel for the club’s highs and lows over the years.

“I did a couple of visits, yes – (I saw) the history of the club, the tough moments, training on a car park (under Graham Turner in the ‘80s),” said Nuno.

“There’s been glory, then going down, and then coming back up again.

“I know the history of the club, and I’m very proud to be a part of it.”

And would he like a statue of himself at Molineux one day?

“I’m only focusing on the game,” added Nuno.
