Thousands of supporters eagerly snapped up tickets to see if Nuno Espirito Santo's charges can beat Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men to seal a place at Wembley.

The demand was so great, in fact, no tickets were made available for general sale.

Season-ticket holders were first able to purchase them before members could buy based on the number of loyalty points they had accumulated.

The match, which kicks off at 7.55pm, is also due to be shown to an enormous TV audience. It is being broadcast live on BBC One, and around five million people are expected to tune in.

This is the first time Wolves have made it to the quarters of the Cup since the 2002/03 term, which ended with promotion to the Premier League for the first time via a 3-0 victory over Sheffield United in the play-off final.

The club's last cup game at Wembley saw them win the Sherpa Van Trophy in 1988.
