Town were heartbroken in the third minute of six added as Matt Doherty scored a header to haul Premier League Wolves, who were 2-0 down, back level.

Ricketts claimed he was told by officials that more time had been added on because ball boys were moved the side of the pitch, which he refuted.

The Town chief said: "Huge, huge pride in the performance, I can't quite sum up my feelings.

"It's disappointing because we're going into injury time winning the game and we should see it out.

"Ultimately, six minutes (added) time, I don't know where that's come from? I'm being told ball boys were moved.

"They didn't disappear, they were still at the side of the pitch, they weren't in the corner with the police, my eight-year-old wouldn't be in the corner with the 100 police in the corner."

Ricketts added: "The officials told me. I'm not moaning at them it's hard. I got told the ball boys had come in but they were still there.

"Six minutes was an awful long time, we battled and we fought, got in front and unfortunately couldn't quite hang on at the end.

"I'm not accusing the officials. To be fair to the fourth official he said it got reported to him.

"Who reports it? I don't know.

"My little gripe I was very surprised to see six minutes, I've been in football a ;long time and it never felt like a six minutes injury time day.

"Neither physio went on, to get six minutes injury time with no physio takes some doing."

Greg Docherty and Luke Waterfall goals had given Ricketts' side a lead with 20 minutes to go in a buzzing Montgomery Waters Meadow

Wolves boss Nuno had to send on the big guns to help salvage a replay as Raul Jimenez and Doherty saved the day for the Molineux side.

Ricketts said: "We had to frustrate, work hard and tackle, but we've got quality as well.

"We moved the ball alright at times today, the first goal is testiment to that, we demand hard work and organisation.

"Then when we break and break quickly, we let the ability come out and the first goal typified all of that."
