Teenager Lyons is currently out with Rob Edwards and the Under-23 squad in Spain after being handed a chance to impress.

The 18-year-old right-back plays for Irish club Bohemians and has previously captained their under-19s in the youth version of the Champions League.

The Republic of Ireland Under-19 international played for Wolves Under-23s yesterday as they went down 1-0 to Spanish side Jumilla, where eight of their players are currently on loan.

If Lyons earns a move to Wolves he will follow in the footsteps of Matt Doherty, who made the switch from Bohemians to Molineux in 2010 after impressing then-boss Mick McCarthy during a pre-season friendly.

Other than Doherty and Jonny Castro Otto, the other right-wing-back options at Wolves are Dominic Iorfa and Danish youth international Oskar Buur Rasmussen.

Another right back, Aaron Simpson, is with Jumilla for the season.
