Nuno's team go into the Emirates clash on the back of three successive defeats, his worst run as Wolves boss.

Arsenal are unbeaten in 14 matches in all competitions and Wolves haven't beaten the Gunners since 1979, a run of 19 games.

Speaking at Friday's pre-match press conference, Nuno said: "It's always a test in every moment, because we want to get better

"We're not in the best moment, and we have to react to it.

"We've reacted well since Watford – we performed well against Brighton and Tottenham, but didn't achieve the result.

"There was a fighting spirit (against Spurs), we chased the result and gave everything we had to give.

"There were positives and negatives, we have to improve and get better."

When asked if Nuno would sacrifice a good performance for a victory, he said: "You cannot get results if you don't perform well.

"That's what I think, that's what I defend. We work to play well.

"No matter what, perform well, do your tasks, try to play well and win.

"Arsenal are playing very good, things take time, they've settled now, Unai is a very good manager with good players with a lot of talent.

"It's going to be very tough for us on Sunday, everyone knows the quality Arsenal possesses."

Nuno said the current losing run wouldn't force his hand in the January transfer market – and revealed how hopeful he is of Morgan Gibbs-White progressing in the months and years to come.

"I am excited about his prospects, he has a lot of talent but he has to work and keep improving," the head coach said.

"Time will naturally tell how far he can go.

"Transfers are not dictated by results, its dictated by what you want from each player.

"If there's a gap or something missing, you have to consider it. But its the not the result that dictates this."

Diogo Jota missed the Spurs game with a quad injury, but is available for Sunday.

"He's better, today he started training with the team, he's totally 100 per cent in the squad so he's an option."
