Wolves forward Helder Costa scores on Portugal debut

Helder Costa has followed in Steve Bull's footsteps by scoring on his international debut in Scotland.

The Wolves forward stabbed home a debut goal in the 43rd minute to give Portugal the lead at Hampden Park on the stroke of half-time.

Costa is yet to score in the Premier League this season, although he did net in the League Cup victory over Sheffield Wednesday.

Wolves legend Bull scored inside the same stadium on his England debut in May 1989 after coming on as a substitute for the injured John Fashanu.

Portugal went on to complete a comfortable 3-1 victory.
