The 23-year-old defender believes his team-mates need to show more self-belief in the Premier League.

Wolves have won one and drawn two from their first four games but Hause believes there is room for improvement.

He said: “It’s been an okay start.

“With the potential we’ve got in the squad I think the boys need to believe in themselves a bit more and believe that we’re good enough to play in this division.

“We’ve played four league games against some really good teams and haven’t looked out of place.

“In my personal opinion we’ve looked better.

“It’s just a belief thing. The manager’s drilling that into us and the boys need to believe themselves on the pitch.

“Once we do that and find our feet we’ll be fine.

“The manager doesn’t care who we play – he respects the opposition but he believes in his players and his squad and that we can go anywhere and get a result.

“It’s very encouraging, it’s all positive.”

Hause has yet to play a Premier League game having not made it off the bench so far this season. But he insists every Wolves player is fighting for a place in Nuno Espirito Santo’s starting line-up.

He said: “Every player wants to be playing but you’ve got to respect the manager’s decision and respect the guys who are in the team and doing fantastically.

“You’ve got to work hard and be patient because it will come.

“You just need to be ready. It’s a good feeling to be close to it (being on the bench).”

However, Hause started during their 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday in the Carabao Cup.

And he feels that game provided him with a good opportunity to get playing time under his belt.

“On a personal note it was good to get some minutes and play,” he said.

“The result proved that so it was a good run out.”
