Dominic Iorfa has been included in Wolves’ official squad for the Premier League season.

Clubs had to submit their final lists after the European transfer window closed last Friday and could name a maximum of 25 players. Wolves submitted a list of 19.

Iorfa and Ethan Ebanks-Landell were the only senior players not in Nuno Espirito Santo's first-team setup who didn’t get a loan move before last week’s deadline, but the latter isn't included in the list.

Defender Iorfa last played for Wolves in May 2017 and spent last season on loan with Ipswich Town.

The 23-year-old former England Under-21 regular, who also trained with the senior England squad in 2015, is out of contract at Molineux next summer.

He has yet to feature in a squad, either in pre-season or for a regular match, since Nuno took charge. Iorfa has been training alongside Ebanks-Landell, Joe Mason, Jordan Graham, Paul Gladon and others in a separate at Compton Park, overseen by former Crewe boss and boyhood Wolves fan Steve Davis.

Premier League teams are not allowed more than 17 non-home grown players in a full 25-man squad.

The rest of the squad must be 'home grown', i.e. having been at an English club for three seasons before his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21). Wolves fit comfortably within the guidelines, with or without Iorfa's inclusion.

All players aged 21 or under – or who have been born on or after January 1, 1997 – are eligible to play regardless, so the likes of first-team players Ruben Neves, Morgan Gibbs-White and Ruben Vinagre don't need to be included, nor do the club's large group of youngsters such as Elliot Watt, Pedro Goncalves and Benny Ashley-Seal, who all featured in the Carabao Cup last week.
