Rui Patricio honours Carl Ikeme as Wolves reveal new kit numbers
Wolves have officially revealed their squad numbers for the upcoming Premier League season.
Nuno Espirito Santo's side take on Everton in their opening game of the campaign, but Rui Patricio has opted to wear number 11, instead of the 'goalkeeper standard' number one shirt.
The Portuguese stopper opted against taking the number in honour of Carl Ikeme, who wore the number during his playing career before retiring this summer following medical advice.
Elsewhere, on-loan striker Raul Jimenez has opted to take the famous number nine shirt, previously worn by legendary striker Steve Bull.
Also, due to less stringent rules involving names adorning kits in the Premier League, Jimenez has also opted for 'Raul' on the back of his shirt.
That also sees Diogo Jota opt for 'Diogo J' this season, in place of 'Silva', which was an enforced move in the Championship last season - he continues with the number 18 shirt.
Club-record signing Adama Traore has opted to stick with the number he wore at previous club Middlesbrough with 37, whilst also preferring the use of his first name.
Fellow new-signing Leander Dendoncker will wear the number 32 shirt, while Joao Moutinho will wear number 28, Jonny Castro Otto has chosen the number 19.
Other changes see Helder Costa take the number ten, vacated by Joe Mason, whilst Bright Enobakhare has taken the number 14 from Michal Zyro. Morgan Gibbs-White will now wear 17.
Barry Douglas' absent number three shirt has not been filled following his departure to Leeds United.
