The 27-year-old has joined last season's third-placed Greek side on a temporary deal for the 2018/19 campaign.

He fell out of favour last season, only making two league appearances this side of Christmas.

In a message on his Instagram page Miranda said: "First of all, I wanna thank Wolves for the unforgettable season that we past, and we won.

"Was a hell of a season, and I have no doubts that this season will be amazing as well! Once we’re a wolf, we never cease to be a wolf! Wolves ay we.

"Thanks to Olympiakos for the chance to come to the biggest club of Greece. Excited to help the team to achieve their goals and in the end of the season we can all celebrate as champions."

Miranda joined for £2.5million from Nuno's former club Rio Ave last summer and was initially a regular in the Wolves defence, playing the first 14 matches of the league season before being dropped after a 2-1 defeat at QPR.

In December he was named as part of a police investigation into match-fixing in Portugal.

He was one of four suspected of wrong-doing following Portuguese Primeira League game between Rio Ave and Feirense.
