Wolves Premier League fixtures 2018/19 - Five key games

Marco Silva's Everton will visit Molineux on opening day with a trip to Leicester City the following weekend.

Nathan Judah takes a look at five key games that could shape the season:

Everton (H) - August 11

Not only is it the first game back in the Premier League - it's winnable!

Playing at Molineux will be a huge boost to the team and facing an established club in Everton is a very attractive prospect.

The game should provide an excellent marker as to where Wolves are with many hoping Nuno's men can have a similar season to The Toffees.

Manchester City (H) - August 25

Wolves will not have to wait long to face the Premier League champions as Pep Guardiola brings his superstars to the Black Country in gameweek three.

There should be no fear factor following their superb Carabao Cup performance at the Etihad Stadium last season.

Nuno's men came within a whisker of a giant-killing win - can they go one better and take all three points?

Man United (A) - September 22

Many fans will have a keen eye on this one as Nuno and his good friend Jose Mourinho will do battle at Old Trafford.

It's a daunting task for any team to go to the Theatre of Dreams, but Wolves have already had some huge wins in recent seasons and will go there with no fear.

One thing is for sure, the travelling contingent will be determined to make as much noise as possible to drown out the 'prawn sandwich brigade!'

Tottenham (A) - December 29

Get your hotels booked for a Christmas break to London as Wolves play back-to-back games in the capital.

Spurs will be playing at their brand new stadium and Nuno's men will be one of the first teams to visit the 62,000 all-seater.

The game comes just two days after a trip to Fulham (Boxing Day) - which could make it an expensive few days for Wolves fans.

Liverpool (A) - May 12

Last game of the season could be a tricky one at Anfield - but Wolves have happy recent memories.

Their FA Cup win will live long in the memory and with Wolves hopefully safe by then, Nuno's men should be able to play with some freedom against Mohamed Salah et al.

And if you're the most optimistic fan, three points may even give Wolves a sneaky chance of - dare we say it ? Europe!
