Will Norris

An outstanding performance which included three marvellous saves. Bristol Rovers will have felt gutted not to win this tie and Norris was the main reason they didn't. Pushed two onto the woodwork and then tipped over a 25-yard rasper from Sercombe over the bar. Three Wolves appearances in the Carabao Cup for Norris and now three clean sheets. He's proving to be a more than able deputy to John Ruddy. 9/10

Danny Batth

Wolves' defenders got more of a workout than they will have been anticipating, with Rovers out-shooting Wolves by 21 to 16. Batth had a couple of hairy moments in the first half and wasn't helped by a lack of protection at times but overall he was fine. Looked a threat in the opposition box too. 6/10

Conor Coady

Excellent use of possession throughout in what was another solid performance at centre half for Coady. Amazing to think he'd never played a first team game in that position before last month. 7/10

Roderick Miranda

A slack moment nearly cost Wolves when he was turned by Sercombe who went close in the first half. He almost scored a dramatic 90th minute winner with an improvised chip onto the crossbar. 6/10

Oskar Buur Rasmussen

Who saw this coming? The Danish youth international, who only joined last month and has played a couple of times for the under-23s, was thrown in at the deep end. Certainly didn't let anyone down and he kept the errors to a minimum in what was a difficult test for the youngster. His team mates didn't seem to trust him as on a number of occasions he was free in a decent position but didn't receive a pass. Great experience for Rasmussen and in a position where Wolves are short of cover we may see him again soon. 6/10

Alfred N'Diaye

Good for the new signing to get 120 minutes under his belt and top those fitness levels up. He was careless in possession at times – notably in the build-up to Rovers hitting the post in the second half – but showed good energy if a lack of quality on the ball. Didn't dominate the game like you wanted him too though. Much more to come from him, you feel. 6/10

Jack Price

The pick of Wolves' midfielders. Produced a couple of sublime passes including for Douglas in the lead-up to Wolves' winner. Kept the tempo going where he could and always looked for that searching pass out wide. A timely reminder to Nuno of what he can do. 8/10

Sylvain Deslandes

Like Wolves he started well, with a couple of productive forays down that left flank, but then faded. Has looked better at centre half under Nuno. 6/10

Ben Marshall

Similar to Deslandes he looked very bright early doors. Came up with a gorgeous through ball for a Zyro chance in the 14th minute. Played a little deeper, as Nuno has tended to do in the Carabao Cup with it being more of a 3-5-2. Not at his best since coming back from injury, but more valuable minutes here. 6/10

Michal Zyro

A first competitive start since April 2016. And in a recurring theme he was sharp and full of beans in the early stages...in fact he could have scored twice in a minute, lashing a 20-yarder just over and then turning a Deslandes cross over the bar. He's bulked up and looks stronger than before his injury. Tailed off in the second half when fatigue set in and he went off with cramp. A few promising signs here to suggest that, with extra match sharpness, he can be back-up to Bonatini. Either way it's great to see him back. 6/10

Bright Enobakhare

This has been a long time coming. His first goal since August 2015 was Wolves' match-winner, and a well-taken one at that. More than 30 appearances had passed since Enobakhare's last strike and hopefully it'll give him a big confidence boost. Other than the goal it was a lively performance with occasional brilliant skill. 7/10

Substitutes

Barry Douglas (for Deslandes, 60)

A first appearance for a month and he was understandably a bit rusty but still popped up with an assist. 6/10

Connor Ronan (for Marshall, 68)

Played at right wing back in extra time and it wasn't a role that suited him. 5/10

Ivan Cavaleiro (for Zyro, 68)

Brought some dynamism to Wolves' forward play but was lacking an end product. 6/10

Donovan Wilson (for Rasmussen, 90)

Had the honour of becoming Wolves' first ever 'fourth substitute' owing to Carabao Cup rules which allow an extra sub in extra time. No impact against his former club although aside from the goal Wolves barely ventured forward in the added 30 minutes. Shame he got taken out in the dying seconds as he was denied a clean run on goal. 5/10

Subs not used: Burgoyne, Hause, Gibbs-White.
