The Baggies have announced the first part of their preparations for next season, and will host Eddie Howe’s Cherries at The Hawthorns at 8pm on Friday, July 26.

That match is eight days before the Championship season kicks off on Saturday, August 3 and is likely to be the final warm-up act.

Albion are also travelling to Rotherham United and Scunthorpe United this summer.

They visit Scunthorpe’s Glanford Park at 3pm on Saturday, July 20. The Iron were relegated to League Two last season.

Three days later the Baggies travel to Rotherham’s New York Stadium where they won 4-0 in December.

The Millers were relegated to League One last season. That match kicks off at 7.45pm on Tuesday, July 23.

The Baggies are also planning to arrange more domestic friendlies as well as an overseas training trip.

Fixtures for the 2019/20 Championship campaign are released on Thursday, June 20, with the club's first-team squad returning for pre-season training on Monday, June 24.
