The 22-year-old, on loan from Bristol City, has divided opinion amongst fans since joining the club.

Often switching between a right-wing role or the right of three central midfielders, Holden failed to register a goal or assist in his first seven appearances.

He then picked up one assist in the 3-2 away win over Crawley, before going four games without registering again.

But since the 2-1 loss at home to Mansfield, Holden has picked up three assists in six games.

Although he's yet to notch his first goal, the midfielder is pleased to now be contributing regularly.

"I'm enjoying it," he said.

"The lads have been great and the fans as well.

"I'm learning every day and gaining experience game by game.

"I want to play as many games as possible and play as many games as I can.

"In the last few games I feel as if I've done well and created chances for everybody.

"I'm just happy.

"Having a manager like Darrell Clarke who believes in me is very beneficial for my career.

"I feel as if he's been a bit patient with me but I feel that now he's getting more out of me every game.

"I want to kick on now.

"I just want to contribute as much as possible.

"With both assists and goals or just helping the team."

Meanwhile, despite being played in a number of positions for the club, Holden is prepared to turn out in any posistion necessary to help the team.

"I think I'm versatile but I'd say my favourite position is in (centre) midfield but I can do a job anywhere really," he added.

"I'll do whatever I need for the team."
