The club confirmed his departure on Twitter following a meeting with chairman Andy Pountney and vice chairman Andy Bullingham.

Stourbridge are currently seventh in the Southern Central League, just one point behind Coalville Town who occupy the final play-off spot.

Long was appointed manager in May 2019, replacing the long-standing Gary Hackett after 16 years.

He led Stourbridge to the first round of the FA Cup in November of last year, losing the replay to Eastleigh 3-0 after drawing 2-2 in the first tie.

''The Club wishes to place on record our thanks to Ian for his efforts during his time as manager of Stourbridge Football Club'' says the club's official statement.

''We sincerely wish him all the best for the future.

''Further announcements will be made by the Club in due course.''
