Banbury 2 Stourbridge 0 - Report

A goal in each half meant Stourbridge left Banbury pointless and a late penalty miss compounded their misery.

The impressive Ravin Shamsi opened the scoring for the Puritans with a great strike on 34 minutes.

Stourbridge thought they had equalised just after the break when Andre Brown's 'goal' from close range was given by the referee only to then be ruled out by the linesman after protests from the home players.

Ricky Johnson scored Banbury's second on 69 and Stourbridge substitute Anthony Dwyer saw his late penalty saved.
