Goalkeeper Matt Gould leaving Stourbridge
Stourbridge’s Birmingham Senior Cup final against Hednesford Town on Tuesday will be goalkeeper Matt Gould’s last game for the club.
The 24-year-old shot-stopper has played 138 times for the Glassboys since joining from Scottish side Livingston in 2016, but the club have announced he is ‘relocating north’.
Stour boss Gary Hackett said: “He’ll be tough to replace but we wish him well and hope he can realise his dream to be a professional goalkeeper again.”
Gould’s father, Jonathan, is goalkeeping coach at Tony Pulis’s Middlesbrough. He served in the same role during the Welshman’s time in charge of Albion.
