It was the home side who adapted better early on as Jon Flatt was forced to make several good saves to keep them at bay in the opening exchanges.

Having soaked up plenty of pressure, we launched our first raid on 22 minutes when Danny Waldron made progress and his pull-back into the danger zone was fired wide by Reece Mitchell.

For the remainder of the opening period, The Pics were required to dig in as the home side pushed for an opening goal.

The home side had a goal ruled out for offside early in the second period as Williams bundled the ball home after another Flatt save.

At the other end, Alex Moore went close with a free-kick before Chris Wreh did well to break into the area only for his low cross to be bravely gathered by the ‘keeper under pressure.

Just past the hour-mark, Waldron went close with a curling effort before Davidson-Miller was red-carded for the home side for raise his hands to Mitchell.

Despite being reduced to ten men, the home side almost nicked it when Williams went through but fired wide with only Flatt to beat.

The closing stages also saw The Pics go close when Shaq Whittingham’s cross was headed narrowly wide by Waldron.

Right at the death, Dunkley should have done better for the home side from a good position, whilst Kieran Cook had an opportunity for The Pics that he failed to take advantage of as honours ended even.
