It could have been more, with Halesowen looking very dangerous early on, but they were pegged back by a penalty after taking the lead.

The Yeltz started well against a team pushing for the play-offs, Aaron Gilpin going on a run on nine minutes but his cross flew just over the bar.

Three minutes later they did take the lead when Matthias Curley headed home an Andre Wright cross.

Gilpin then forced the home keeper Jake Jessup into two good saves before Needham equalised from the spot on 26 minutes, Joe Marsden notching his 19th of the season in all competitions.

On the half hour, Wright headed over from a free kick as Halesowen continued to press.

The second half was fairly even, Halesowen's best chance coming on 67 minutes when Jack Till, a new signing from Lye, shot just wide.

Halesowen are away to Stourbridge tonight (Monday) in the quarter final of the Birmingham Senior Cup.
