Club president Brookes has purchased the club from Tammy Lynch, the wife of former owner Steve Lynch, who is serving a two-year ban from all football activity.

It was announced in February that Mrs Lynch had agreed a deal that would see control of the Yeltz pass to chairman Karen Brookes by the end of the month.

Negotiations have taken much longer than expected, and a relieved Mr Brookes said: "The last five months have been the most stressful period in my 25 years plus at Halesowen Town and today is a very special day in my life.

"I am so pleased for Karen, who has worked wonders at the club over the past 12 months.

"The club is now back where it belongs, with the people of Halesowen.

"The hard work now begins, let’s all work together and take our great club into a new and successful period. Football’s coming home."
