Chasetown were a whisker away from a goal inside 5 minutes with a George Cater fizzed effort just wide of the post.

It was no surprise when the hosts took the lead. Kieran Brown squared the ball inside the penalty box to Cater who steered the ball smartly past Paul Hathaway.

Coleshill threatened straight away and former Scholar George Washbourne forced a low save from Curtis Pond.

Cater returned the favour in the 36th minute with an inswinging corner that Kieran Brown met with a header which deflected off defender Keenan Meakin-Richards en route to the back off the net.

The third goal came just before the hour. Lewis Riley-Stewart looped a ball forward which two defenders missed and Kieran Brown unleashed a first time volley past Hathaway.

Brown almost had his hat trick but his shot from 12 yards was blocked by Matt Jackson.

Pond made another top save to deny Luke Keen but the visitors never looked like breaching the Chasetown defence.
