Darryl Westlake a doubt for Glassboys

Stourbridge are set to be without full-back Darryl Westlake for tonight’s game with rock bottom Bedworth United.

The former Walsall man was forced off with a sore thigh and Glassboys boss Gary Hackett admitted he is “very doubtful” for the visit of the Greenbacks.

Westlake now faces a fight to recover in time for Saturday’s FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie at Guiseley.

Stour head into tonight’s game unbeaten in ten and aiming for a sixth straight win, which would be enough to send them second in the Evo-Stik Premier Central.

Bedworth arrive at the War Memorial three points adrift at the foot of the table, still searching for their first victory of the campaign.

Yet Hackett is taking nothing for granted.

He said: “It’s another big game. People will look at it and expect Stourbridge to just turn up and win. But it is never that easy.”
