Villa’s busy summer window is set to continue after Kortney Hause became their fourth signing since winning promotion.

The 23-year-old defender yesterday completed his anticipated £3million move across the West Midlands from Wolves, following an impressive loan spell in which he helped the club regain their Premier League status.

Hause’s capture follows the earlier arrivals of wing duo Jota and Anwar El Ghazi, along with striker Wesley Moraes in a club record £22million deal from Club Brugge.

Brentford’s Said Benrahma, Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips and Hause’s fellow loan star Tyrone Mings are now among Dean Smith’s top targets, as he looks to complete as much business as possible before players return for pre-season training early next month.

Hause, who made 12 appearances after joining on loan in January, is joining on a three-year deal, with the option for a fourth in Villa’s favour.

Signed by Kenny Jackett for £175,000 from Wycombe in January, 2014, he departs Molineux having made 80 first-team appearances, though only six of those have been in the last two seasons.

Wolves sporting director Kevin Thelwell said: “Kortney has been a tremendous servant to this club, providing a solid backbone to our defence in the Championship where he helped lay the foundations for Wolves’ rise to where we are today.”

Villa have put season tickets back on sale. Prices have risen between £48 and £115 compared to the early bird window.
