Dean Smith’s men are scheduled to make their first-ever visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, August 10, where they will take on Mauricio Pochettino’s team.

It is the seventh time in the last eight seasons Villa will have started their season on the road.

That is followed by a home opener against Bournemouth on Saturday, August 17, the first of back-to-back matches at Villa Park with Everton the visitors a week later on August 24.

Villa, who are back in the top flight after a three-year absence, round off the season’s opening month with a trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday, August 31.

Other notable dates over the course of the campaign include a Boxing Day home match with fellow promoted club Norwich City.

After travelling to Watford on December 28, Villa then spend New Year’s Day on the road when they visit Burnley.

Villa will also face last year’s Premier League top two, Manchester City and Liverpool, on consecutive weekends.

They travel to face champions City on October 26, before hosting Champions League winners Liverpool on November 2.

That is followed by the first West Midlands derby of the season with Wolves when Villa visit Molineux on November 9. The return fixture at Villa Park is scheduled for April 4.

The Premier League schedule includes a fortnight winter break for the first time ever and Villa are without a match on the weekend of either Saturday, February 8 or 15.

Their final home fixture of the season is against Arsenal on Saturday, May 9, while they visit West Ham on the final day - Sunday, May 17. The fixture will be Villa’s first-ever at the London Stadium and means they both begin and complete the season at grounds they have never visited before.

The dates of all fixtures are subject to change for TV coverage.
