Both local clubs have had memorable strike's selected for the annual award, in which fans can vote for their pick to determine a winner.

Wolves have a single effort nominated, that being Ruben Neves' stunning volley against Derby which helped Nuno's side to a 2-0 win over the Rams during their promotion season.

Villa have three separate goals in the running for the honour.

Conor Hourihane's dipping volley against bitter rivals Birmingham City earned a nomination, whilst Jack Grealish's game-winning volley against Cardiff is also in the running. Both strikes came during last season.

Villa's third nomination comes courtesy of John McGinn, who's seen his sensational volley against Sheffield Wednesday earlier in the current campaign make the cut.

The top five goals from the ten-goal selection will make the final shortlist, with the overall winner decided by a vote on the evening of the EFL Awards among the event's attendees.

The 2019 EFL Awards take place on Sunday, April 7.
