The Express & Star has joined together with Specsavers, sponsor of the eagerly-anticipated five-match series which will see Joe Root’s England pit their wits against some of the best cricketers on the planet in Virat Kohli’s India.

And India face an uphill battle, having never previously won a Test match at Edgbaston in six previous attempts.

Indeed, in 2011 – the last time India played England in a Test at Edgbaston – they were trounced by an innings and 242 runs. That match saw Alastair Cook register his highest ever Test score with an amazing innings of 294 as England racked up an incredible 710-7.

However, India are currently ranked the top Test match side in the world while England are four places lower. The home side will be eager to capitalise on their recent one-day international series victory over India, which saw both sides play some stunning cricket.

And to add to the interest, the game will be England’s 1,000th Test match since the first ever officially recognised Test, which took place against Australia, in Melbourne, way back in 1877.

To have a chance of winning a pair of tickets, simply answer the following question:

In which year did India last play England in a Test match at Edgbaston?
