Coseley's Tommy Ghent will now face William Warburton in the opening bout of Saturday's Prizefighter at Wolverhampton Civic Hall.

Unbeaten Ghent had been paired with Walsall's Joel Ryan, who has pulled out for personal reasons, with Warburton taking his place.

'Tommy Gun' is on the bill as a 'Prizefighter Prospect,' signed to the show promoter's Matchroom stable, competing at welterweight.

Warburton is regarded as a journeyman but is durable and capable of springing a shock, as Wolverhampton's Dean Harrison found out.

Harrison - one of the eight fighters in the Prizefighter tournament - was upset on points by Warburton in a four-rounder last October.

In the fight prior to that, Warburton had also beaten reigning Midlands lightweight champion Amir Unsworth over the distance.

Meanwhile, Ghent's stable-mate Ryan Aston has already lined up his next fight after Saturday's Prizefighter.

Dudley's Aston is also on the Civic card as a 'Prizefighter Prospect' at middleweight against Kieron Gray, who has come out of retirement.

'Tank' is then due to face his biggest test yet in Lee Noble, an English title challenger in 2010 who held Birmingham's Thomas Costello to a draw.

The two clash on the undercard of Kell Brook's showdown with Matthew Hatton on the Sky Sports bill at Sheffield's Motorpoint Arena on March 17.
