Dudley hospital traffic must be sorted

I had to go to Russells Hall Hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

Russells Hall Hospital

I travelled from the Merry Hill centre direction. When we got to the Holly Hall traffic lights the traffic was at a standstill.

Long queues of traffic at a standstill coming from Pensnett and the direction from the Duncan Edwards way. At peak times this entrance into the hospital car park just won’t take the sheer volume of traffic.

I have in the past written about this problem but nothing seems to be being done.

In my opinion a simple solution would solve it.

It needs a second access further down towards Pensnett. It just needs the construction of an access to the car park and presumably a barrier. This would certainly take the pressure off this bottle neck island.

When we got to this roundabout it took a further 20 minutes to cross over and get into the car park only to find no spaces.

We finally parked and when we came out of the hospital two hours later, had the same problem trying to get out of the car park.

Working out how much money they are pulling in everyday, it would be a pinch of salt to sort out this problem, so to the chief executive of Russell’s Hall Hospital and the Dudley Council, get round a table and sort this problem out please.
