A new Lottery game with a jackpot paid in monthly instalments over 30 years has seen its first top prize winners since it launched two months ago.

No players matched all six numbers usually required to win the jackpot in the Set For Life game, which pays out £10,000 per month for three decades, but two ticket-holders were beneficiaries of what organisers Camelot called a “super chance” draw.

Both players will each receive the top prize for matching all five main numbers.

The numbers were 15, 21, 31, 44, 45 and the Life Ball was 03.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, said: “Tonight’s Set For Life super chance draw is one to remember as we crown the very first top prize winners – two of them, in fact, who have each won an incredible £10,000 a month, every month for 30 years.

“A super chance draw runs until there’s at least one winner of the top prize – in either the match five main numbers plus Life Ball or match five main numbers prize tiers.

“In tonight’s super chance draw, no player matched five main numbers and the Life Ball, but two players who matched five main numbers are now set for life.

“They can live the good life with an extra £10,000 in the bank month after month to tick off their bucket list dreams. If you were in with a chance, check your numbers to see if you are set for life.”
