Delays after crash on M6 southbound
Motorists faced delays on the M6 southbound in the Midlands following a crash on Saturday morning.
Lanes were closed and traffic was stopped following a multi-vehicle collision between J5 for Birmingham East/Sutton Coldfield and J4A.
The carriageway was cleared just after 9am, leaving about three miles of residual congestion on the approach, which was causing delays of 30 minutes above usual journey times.
Normal traffic conditions were expected between 10am and 10.15am.
