West Midlands Metro tram hit by van on Bilston Road bringing disruption
West Midlands Metro services in Wolverhampton were halted after a van hit the tram.
The crash happened on Bilston Road just outside the city centre this morning.
Services in and out of the city were cancelled while the crash was cleared.
Trams were stopping at Priestfield and were unable to travel onto The Royal and Wolverhampton St George's.
A West Midlands Metro spokesman said: "We've had a minor collision between a van and a tram on Bilston Road.
"There's no reports of injuries and an investigation is ongoing.
"Our engineers are on scene."
People were being directed to use the number 79 between Priestfield and Wolverhampton. Metro tickets and passes were being accepted.
The crash was cleared by 9.30am.
