Members from Friends of Howley Grange have been working with Woodgate Valley Fire Station to reduce the number of incidents and near misses on Howley Grange Road in Halesowen.

The campaign group, which was set up in 2016, has been campaigning for safety measures to be implemented.

Watch Commander Paul Stephens, from Woodgate Valley Fire Station, placed a Speed Indicator Device on the road to monitor speeds.

Jennifer Clulow, who has lived in the road for 24 years, said: "It's horrendous, shocking and unbelievable.

"We're calling on the council to put traffic-calming measures. We don't want speed bumps.

"The road is very long and if they put chevrons down and a sign it slows the traffic down.

"I set it up, I'm a childminder and I've have been living here for 24 years."
