A team of politicians led by Wolverhampton South East MP Pat McFadden will take on a team made up of members of the press in a 7-a-side clash at the Queen Street ground tomorrow (Saturday).

The West Midlands Regional League Premier Division club urgently needs to raise £3,000 towards new lights, after issues with the old system began to affect games.

So far more than £1,800 has been donated to the cause.

Mr McFadden's team includes Labour councillors Celia Hibbert, Greg Brackenridge and Ian Angus, as well as former Labour councillor Daniel Warren and Conservative councillors Udey Singh and Simon Bennett.

The press team will feature journalists from the Express & Star, the Press Association and Free Radio. Wolverhampton musician Vital, who recently landed his own show on BBC WM, will also play.

The game kicks off tomorrow at Bilston Town Football Club at 11.30am.

Entry is £2, all proceeds to the club. Donate at gofundme.com/bilston-town-floodlight-fund
