Former prime minister Tony Blair visits the Black Country - GALLERY

Tony Blair was in Dudley today in a rare visit to a UK constituency.

The former New Labour Prime Minister visited West Midlands Police Station in Brierley Hill where he spoke with senior officers and bobbies about the region's crime wave.

He also met with Labour members in Dudley North, and visited Dudley College's Advance site in Priory Road where he spoke with students and looked at the college's ground-breaking engineering courses.

Mr Blair was a guest of Dudley North MP Ian Austin and was joined by West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner David Jamieson in Brierley Hill.

During the visit Mr Blair did an extensive interview with the Express & Star where he addressed issues including the Iraq War, Brexit, Jeremy Corbyn, and the Labour party being taken over by the far left.

Mr Blair now runs his own think-tank called the Institute for Global Change where he puts forward centrist policies to be taken on by mainstream political parties.
