Porsche has revealed a GTS upgrade for the Panamera family. The new model is available across standard and Sport Turismo models, and priced from £105,963.

The original Panamera range was first given a GTS model back in 2011, this is the first appearance of the moniker on the Sport Turismo which was first unveiled in 2017.

When in GTS guise, the Panamera gains a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine which develops 454bhp and 620Nm of torque – an upgrade of 19bhp and 100Nm over the previous version of the engine.

With that unit on-board, the GTS models can get from 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 181mph and 179mph for the Sport Turismo. The engine is paired to the Porsche Traction Management all-wheel drive system and an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

To aid comfort, Porsche has fitted the GTS with adaptive air suspension, but a 10mm drop in the ride height should also improve cornering performance. Larger brakes have also been applied for improved stopping power.

To further distinguish them from the rest of the Panamera line-up, Porsche has given the GTS models a unique design package that adds black trim to the front and rear splitters, as well as 20-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, customers can choose to spec the GTS package that adds customisable elements, such as the rev counter, trim detailing and GTS logos in contrasting Carmine Red or Crayon. They would sit alongside Alcantara upholstery and aluminium trim, as well as a sports steering wheel.

Porsche has also introduced a head-up display to the GTS – a first for the Panamera.

Prices for the Panamera GTS models start from £105,963. Order books are open now.
