Motorcyclist dies in collision with car near Kidderminster

A motorcyclist has died after being hit by a car near Kidderminster.

The biker was hit at the junction of Castle Road and the A449 at Cookley.

Emergency services arrived at the horror crash around 2.15pm on Monday.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Unfortunately, the motorcyclist had suffered very serious injuries.

"The ambulance staff provided advanced clinical care but sadly were not able to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.

"The woman driving the car was unhurt, though understandably shaken."

An off duty paramedic, a community first responder, two paramedic officers, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Staffordshire and the crew of the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were all on scene to help.
