Man injured after car crashes into railings in Kidderminster

A man suffered serious injuries in a crash after the vehicle he was travelling in left the road and crashed into metal railings.

The crash took place on the A456, St Mary's Ringway, in Kidderminster, at around 11pm on Sunday(1).

It involved a purple Fiat 500, which left the carriageway and crashed into metal railings.

A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

An 18-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the crash.

West Mercia Police is now appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the crash.

A spokesman said: "To help with our investigation we're keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any other information that could help with our enquiries."

Witnesses can call officers on 101, quoting incident reference number 0842S of July 1.
