The fire started just after 2pm.

A spokesperson from Hereford and Worcester Fire Service, said: "Two crews from Kidderminster are currently attending a grass fire near the railway just off Woodbury Road.

"We are not sure the amount of grass that is on fire at present, but we have a hose reel in place. It is near to the entrance of the tunnel."

Severn Valley Railway tweeted that trains had currently been stopped due to a fire between Bewdley and Kidderminster.

It stated: "The 4.15pm service from Kidderminster has not yet departed, and will be delayed (the train is currently held at Bewdley, on its way to Kidderminster).

"The arrivals of the 4.05pm and 4.50pm services at Kidderminster from Bridgnorth will also be delayed.

"Trains will start running again as soon as possible and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
