Eighteen cars targeted by tyre-slashing vandals in Wednesfield

Car owners living in the Wednesfield area being warned after 18 cars had their tyres slashed.

The vandal attacks on cars took place in four different streets in the Wednesfield area of Wolverhampton, near to New Cross Hospital, according to West Midlands Police.

Vicarage Road, North Avenue, School Road and Prestwood Road were among the streets targeted by the tyre slasher.

Residents living in the area are now being urged to come forward if they have witnessed anything over the last few days.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "The team had to do house-to-house regarding a spate of tyre slashing.

"Vicarage Road, North Avenue, School Road and Prestwood Road. In total 18 plus separate crimes.

"If you know anything please speak to any officer."
