Motorcyclist injured after collision with car in Bilston

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car at a busy Bilston junction.

Police and ambulance staff were called to help after the collision at around 6.55am today.

It happened on the cross roads at the A41 and Mount Pleasant.

An off-duty paramedic stopped to help the rider in the moments after the crash.

Staff in an ambulance also arrived at the scene alongside officers from West Midlands Police.

The male motorcyclist suffered minor injuries, say West Midlands Ambulance Service.

He was assessed before being taken to Wolverhampton's New Cross Hospital for further treatment.
