Nine kittens discovered in rubbish-filled Wolverhampton home
Nine little kittens have been rescued from a house filled with rubbish in Wolverhampton – after police forced their way in.
Officers from the St Matthew's team of West Midlands Police went round to the home to conduct a welfare check earlier today.
But they found bin bags in every room from floor to ceiling.
After clearing some of the bags, officers came across nine kittens hidden among all the rubbish.
All are now with the RSPCA to be checked over.
A spokesman for the force said on Twitter: "Today, officers gained entry to a house to conduct a welfare check and found bin bags filled every room from floor to ceiling – after clearing some we came across these nine kittens hidden in among the rubbish. All are now safely with the RSPCA and are going to be just fine."
