Wolverhampton Co-op to close in November

A Co-operative Food store in Wolverhampton city centre is to close next month.

The store, on the corner of Queen Street and Pipers Row, will close its doors to customers on November 24.

A spokesman for the Midcounties Co-operative said they were currently working with staff to find them alternative roles.

The spokesman added: "After much deliberation, we have taken the decision to close our Queen Street store on November 24.

"We are working with our colleagues to help them find alternative roles, and customers can access the same services from our Trysull Road and Tettenhall Road stores.”
