Man dies in industrial incident in Wolverhampton

A man has died at a Wolverhampton waste firm in what is believed to have been an industrial incident.

Police were alerted on Saturday evening by the mother of an employee at Timmins Waste in Mander Street, who was concerned her son had not returned from work.

It’s now believed the man – aged 29 – died on Saturday as a result of an industrial incident.

A police spokesman said: “The precise cause of his death is yet to be established and remains unexplained.

"An investigation has been launched and West Midlands Police will be working with the Health and Safety Executive.”

"Timmins Waste has been secured by police while enquiries continue. The man’s next of kin have been notified."

A HSE spokesman said: "HSE is aware of the incident and is supporting the Police with their investigation."
