Youngsters at St Luke's Primary School have been 'outraged' by the fly tipping.

They decided to write to Wolverhampton South East MP Pat McFadden, who stopped by at the Park Street South school to investigate.

He said: "It is appalling that anyone would be so irresponsible and thoughtless as to dump this rubbish beside a school.

"There is no excuse for this sort of behaviour. The pupils and teachers are quite right to be outraged by this. I share their anger.

"I have contacted the council and asked for the rubbish to be removed as soon as possible."

Clothes, drink cans and furniture are just some of the items which have been thrown by the school.

Youngsters quizzed the MP about the issue, telling Mr McFadden they 'can't wait until their school looks pretty again'.

Mr McFadden added: "We have to get the message across to people that this dumping of rubbish is unacceptable.

"It is a problem in various parts of the city and it denigrates the city. Those responsible should stop and stop now.”
