A spokesman said: "The two dogs have been seized and enquiries are on-going to trace the owners."

Low Hill police unit tweeted: "An irresponsible dog owner thought it’d be a good idea to abandon two aggressive dogs off their leads in a children’s park in Othello Road this afternoon.

"Our quick thinking PCSOs secured the perimeter until help could arrive from West Midlands Police Dog Unit to safely detain the dogs."
