College shortlisted for award
City of Wolverhampton College has been shortlisted for a national award for the 'high standard of careers advice and guidance' it provides to its students.
The college is in the running for the Careers Education and Guidance Award, sponsored by the Careers and Enterprise Company, in the annual Association of Colleges Beacon Awards which celebrate the best and most innovative practice among UK further education and sixth form colleges.
The winners of the AoC Beacon Awards will be announced on the evening of 14 November at a ceremony in Birmingham.
Andrea Dill-Russell, the college’s assistant principal for student services, said: “We have an extremely dedicated and knowledgeable team of careers advisors who work with students at all levels to ensure they choose the best qualifications and learning opportunities for their chosen careers.
“We are aware that the standard of entries is always really high for these awards and are delighted to have been shortlisted in our category.”
