Woman taken to hospital after bridge incident in Willenhall
A woman was taken to hospital after an incident on a bridge in Willenhall.
Police and paramedics were sent to Owen Road where the woman was reported to be on the Black Country Route bridge shortly before 9am today.
The woman was brought to safety and taken to hospital after being assessed by paramedics at the scene near Home Bargains and Tesco.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 8.51am to reports of concern for a patient’s welfare on Owen Road, Willenhall.
"One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
"On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman at height.
"Once brought to safety, the patient was assessed by ambulance staff before being taken to hospital.”
