Tributes paid to Bloxwich motorcyclist Luke Paddock

An 18-year-old motorcyclist who died after a crash with a car in Bloxwich has been named as Luke Paddock.

The teenager, from Bloxwich, was pronounced dead at the scene at the junction of Ingram Road and Valley Road, just after 9pm on Friday.

Now his family have come forward to release a tribute to their "beautiful boy" – as police urge people to get in touch.

A statement from Luke's family said: "We as a family will never get over the loss of our beautiful boy Luke, loved and missed by so many people.

"Our hearts are broken, the pain we are feeling will never go away.

"Fly high my beautiful angel, my little brown boy."

A 17-year-old pillion passenger suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.

A 37-year-old, the driver of the grey Skoda Octavia involved in the collision, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence. He has been released pending further investigations.

Det Sgt Paul Hughes, from West Midlands Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "We still need to hear from anybody who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle travelling in the area in the moments leading up to the collision.

"We would also ask for anyone with dash cam footage to get in touch as soon as possible."
